a new home...

We have a place to live in Birmingham! Paul and his parents drove to and from Birmingham on Friday to look for a place for us to live. We had been searching on craigslist, websites, and areas for other places to consider. He scheduled with realtors to look at a couple of houses and also some apartments. After leaving one of the houses that had fleas (cross that one of the list!) they went to look at Country Club Apartments in Mountain Brook - and LOVED it! We have a WINNER!! The buildings are right outside down town, in Mountain Brook, which is a great area. They were built in the 1930s and actually have some of the original charm. The kitchen is getting updated before we get there, and the whole place will be cleaned. We now have a two bedroom, 1 bathroom unit on the 2nd floor - so if anyone ever wants to come visit, PLEASE do! We would love to have you.

Moving date - sometime the week of June 12. We've already started packing, and actually have a surprising amount boxed and ready to go. Now it will be a matter of consolidating all of our stuff from our condo now, my parents' house, Paul's parents' house, and the storage unit. We'll be getting a big truck! Kinda exciting! :)
